The theory of drama education is to blend structural elements in drama into the teaching process and stress the special part drama is playing in education. Thus, textbook drama is just the special teaching method, which considers the differences in the direction of self-development and studying desires among students. Its aim is to promote the students’ development of special talent and personality, satisfy students’pursuing for arts, and make all of them gain the fundamental literacy. It is not only a kind of drama activity with teaching features, but also an educational activity in the form of drama. As a result, it is a teaching method combining education and literature.Set in the system of College Entrance Examination, the great contradictions between the desires of personality liberation and being unable to get rid of the system are growing. Chinese grades hard to draw the difference forces the popular textbook drama to drop into a cold palace of the Chinese teaching, leading to students’ ignoring Chinese learning. However, textbook drama plays an important part in improving the aesthetic ability, developing literary attainment and librating personal minds. So it will be necessary to set up a series of systematical and mature textbook drama teaching procedure, which will cater for the request of new curriculum reform, help to promote the efficiency of Chinese teaching, and make them willing to get involved in what they consider as "boring Chinese class".This paper is based on the study of basic literary theory of textbook drama. By means of exploring the original definition of textbook drama, it tries to find the joint of high school Chinese teaching and textbook drama in order to further master its teaching situation, strengthen its developing cornerstone. It also tries to put the established textbook drama teaching into practice, thus modifying, summing up and inducing.To sum up, the whole paper is aiming to exploring a teaching method adapt to high school Chinese teaching and students’ all-round development by finding out problems and making use of teaching methods. The students will be enjoying, widen their minds and creating ways in the process of self-writing, self-directing and self-performing. Their position of learning subjects will be respected and embodied, and their leaning interest will be fully developed, which reach the goal of performing in teaching and leaning.
