The Classical Sudu Curriculum which is developed by teacher Chen Qin has successfully implemented curriculum-based teaching in the classical literary works.Currently, this curriculum is used by Yongxing primary school and this phenomenon has caused experts concern, especially the one who works on the front-line.In order to explore the origin of the Classical Sudu Curriculum, the author analyses this issue on the perspective of the curriculum, and expects this paper will provide research directions for the teachers and researchers who will work in this field.This paper mainly localized the Classical Sudu Curriculum nature from three aspects: firstly, in the curriculum development theory, this paper uses Taylor’s Target Mode curriculum development theory and Stenhouse’s Process Model curriculum development theory to position the basic elements of curriculum and course thought of the Classical Sudu Curriculum which is regarded as a complete course;Secondly, recording to our national course management system which includes national,local and school levels, localize the Classical Sudu Curriculum’s position, thereby limiting the analysis scope of the Classical Sudu Curriculum when it is used as school curriculum;Thirdly,through analysing the applicableness of Posner’s Curriculum Analyzing Theory to the study of the Classical Sudu Curriculum, and using Posner’s four series of questions about the course of the analysis process “Series 1:the origin of Curriculum Text; Series 2:Curriculum ontology; Series 3:implementation of Curriculum; Series 4:comments of Curriculum ”,construction of the analytic framework of the Classical Sudu Curriculum research “Series 1:the origin of the Classical Sudu Curriculum Text; Series 2:ontology research of the Classical Sudu Curriculum; Series 3: research on the implementation of the Classical Sudu Curriculum; Series 4: researching questions and thinking of the Classical Sudu Curriculum”.This paper firstly applying Posner’s Curriculum Analyzing Theory to analyze the original problem of the Classical Sudu Curriculum, and then describing the significance of the Classical Sudu Curriculum on language education, school-based curriculum development and Sinology curriculum construction.The significance of the Classical Sudu Curriculum on language education shows in four aspects, they are implications for the value of language courses, guide language teaching content, supplementary language teaching methods, and individual requirements for language teachers. The significance for the construction of school-based curriculum is urging researchers to change the idea of curriculum and their teaching philosophy. The significance for the construction of Sinology curriculum is to provide reasonable teaching content and Sinology textbooks which can be reference for.
