Learning motivation is a state that learners motivate themselves to achieve a certain learning target. Motivation plays a key role in learning second language. Based on observation and interview, the author found that motivation has a significant influence in Chinese learning of Georgian middle school students. Therefore, the research on learning motivation of Georgian middle school students has an important reference value in improving their Chinese learning level.This paper based on Gender’s Motivation theory, Deci and Ryan’s intrinsic motivation and self-determination theory and Dornyei’s second language acquisition motivation theory, using questionnaire and SPSS 19.0 to analysis static data. At the same time, we use classroom observation and personal interview to study the learning Chinese motivations in different periods. In a word, the paper studies the mainly types of Chinese learning motivations of Georgian middle school students, the differences of the motivation among different individuals, and the learning Chinese motivations in different periods.At last, the paper talks about the strategies to inspire the learning Chinese motivations of Georgian middle school students in different aspects, such as: curriculum design, textbook compilation, classroom teaching and teacher.
