Along with the rapid development of quality education and the deepening of the new curriculum reform in our country, the traditional teaching method has been difficult to meet the age to cultivate innovative talents.Therefore, to explore teaching takes the cultivation of students’ innovation ability and learning the initiative into to the new curriculum reform advocates the teaching way, caused the extensive concern of the educational circles.High school ideological and political course for students to establish correct life outlook, values, world view has a pivotal role, but for a long time, teaching mode of ideological and political course in our country has been to instill, ignoring the students thinking and self inquiry learning process, obviously this is not conducive to the development of students’ level of knowledge and innovation ability. In order to change this situation, at this stage the application of inquiry teaching in high school ideological and political course of study is very necessary.The main contents of this paper include the following four parts:The first part of the paper introduction. Mainly introduces the research background and significance, research ideas and methods, and the foreign and domestic research status of inquiry teaching elaborated and summarized.The second part, an overview of inquiry teaching method. First, summarizes the intension of probing into type teaching method, and then summarizes the theoretical basis of inquiry teaching method, from the theoretical level in the face of inquiry teaching are analyzed, for the following research on inquiry teaching application laid the foundation.The third part, the application status of inquiry teaching, high school ideological and political education problems and reasons analysis. This part in Liupanshui City Experimental Middle School as the object of study by interviews of teachers and to students issued questionnaires to discuss the high school thought political lesson inquiry results made in the teaching application, existing problems and cause analysis.The fourth part, the implementation strategy of inquiry teaching in high school ideological and political course. Through the in-depth analysis of the problems found in the investigation and Research on the teaching of inquiry, the combination of theory and practice, from the classroom, the teacher, the school and the society, the student this several aspects explore high school thought political lesson teaching the implementation strategy.Finally, the research of this paper makes a summary and outlook, hope that the inquiry based teaching can continue to spread and develop in the future, can play a greater role in the future.
