Study On Influencing Factors Of Engineering College Students’ Entrepreneurial Propensity

21st century has entered the era of technology economy. Science and technology is the driving force of economic development,while the engineering college students are a vital force in the development of science and technology.In recent years, employment situation of college student becomes more severe increasingly.On the one hand,researching entrepreneurial tends of engineering college students is helpful to promote scientific and technological development, thus promoting economic development,on the other hand,it will be also helpful to encourage engineering college students start their own businesses.The author made a detailed and intensive analysis of the influencing factors of entrepreneurial propensity,and extracted personal traits,social network environment,entrepreneurial environment of the science and technology,entrepreneurial attitude four factors to build a conceptual model of influencing factors of engineering students. Questionnaires were given to 404 college engineering students. The data were collected and statistically analyzed to verify the hypotheses of this study, using statistic software SPSS and AMOS by the methods of statistical description analysis,exploratory factor analysis, correlation analysis, and structural equation models to identify the main factors affecting the engineering college students entrepreneurial intention.Students personal traits have a significant positive effect on entrepreneurial tendencies; engineering college students entrepreneurial attitude fully mediated between the engineering students’ personal traits to their entrepreneurial tendencies; engineering college students in which the social network has a significant positive effect on entrepreneurial tendencies; science and technology environment have significant positive impact on entrepreneurial tendencies of engineering; entrepreneurial tendencies of male engineering Students were stronger than girls; the higher engineering undergraduate education is, the lower its entrepreneurial tendencies;there is no significant difference on entrepreneurial intention of engineering undergraduate who have different participation degree of researching; there is significant difference on entrepreneurial tendencies of engineering undergraduate who have different degree of entrepreneurship education.Based on this, the university should strengthen the social network construction of engineering college students, improve the business environment of science and technology, as well as continue to actively carry out entrepreneurship education to begin to improve the entrepreneurial intention of engineering undergraduate.
