The Study Of Factor Endowment Structure And The Regional Embedding Of Strategic Emerging Industries

After the financial crisis, the developed countries to realize the importance of the realeconomy again, the development of strategic emerging industries become the focus ofgovernments. They are trying to establish a global competitive advantage in the new industryto replace the loss of competitiveness of traditional industries, conquers the highest position ina new round of economic and technology development. After2008, our country is faced withthe problem of industrial upgrading transformation, the central and local governments areproposed to develop strategic emerging industries as an important measure to speed up thetransformation of economic development patterns and breakthrough. But because of thecomplexity and fuzziness of such industry, how to effectively introduce different regions andpromote industry development is a common concern for theoretical and practical circles.After analyzing the development of industrial organization, this paper points out that thedevelopment of the industries should be embedded in the global manufacturing network.Through theoretical analysis of the area select product, the result reveals that the option of areaproducts relate to the proportion of funds with personnel closely. This conclusion is consistentwith the measurement of regional comparative advantage, which is commonly adoptedendowments structure. Due to the defect of industry statistical data, based on the industriesmatch point and the existing researches, empirical analysis with high-tech industry data areemployed, which is collected from2005to2011of31provinces in China. Firstly, we performedanalysis of endowment structure in each region. Then, the regional endowment structures withregional industrial development level are compared. At last, based on empirical analysis, theconvergence of the industry development and the development of existing industry structureare studied.The empirical study of this paper shows the high technology industry as the representativeof strategic emerging industry, the development of the industry is unbalanced, or the regionalfactor endowment structure has difference, but the overall range presents the development trendis convergence. On this basis, we study on the various regions of the industry by the spatialconstant coefficient model and spatial variable coefficient model, the results show that thedevelopment of the industry effect by industry capital investment, human capital investment,regional endowment structure, regional openness, natural resource endowment and researchstrength, and between different provincial development pattern is not the same, there are greatdifferences among the provinces, on the basis of this puts forward the corresponding development ideas.
