Research Of The Land Protection In Chinese Urbanization Process

Agriculture is the first industry in our country. And the progress of agriculture is very important to our safety of the food production. It is the foundation of the national economy. Farmland is the most important factor of production. So the protection of farmland and rational utilization are not only important to the development of agriculture but also to the development and the stability of the society. Recently, the study about the protection of farmland has deep into the process of urbanization. Farmland conversion has become the primary problem for the economic development and social stability. In the rapid period of construction, the farmland conversion has some unreasonable problems. They lead to the waste of farmland and the efficiency of the land production is low. The current domestic scholars study the farmland conversion is mainly around the farmer’s conversion, the efficiency of the conversion about farmland and how to solve the problem of land-lost farmers’ social security, etc. Based on the background of urbanization, this paper analyzed the relationship between the development of urbanization and the changes about the area of farmland. Then finding out the reasons about unreasonable farmland conversion, is mainly the government and the farmers. At last, give some suggestions to protect farmland.This paper consists five chapters. The first chapter is the introduction part, introducing the background of the research, the significance of this article, the framework of the article and the methods about research. The second chapter details the concept of urbanization and farmland conversion. First of all, I analysis the concept of urbanization, the development of urbanization in our country and present some features of the current urbanization development. Secondly I detail the meaning of farmland conversion, analysis the policy course of farmland conversion, find the relationship between urbanization and the farmland conversion. Then the paper analyzed the unreasonable phenomenon in the process of farmland conversion. Then I find out the reasons and the important impact on the protection of farmland. The third chapter use Shandong as an empirical research. I build a unary linear regression model between the farmland area and urbanization rate to prove the level of urbanization rate producing corresponding impact on the area of farmland. The chapter4gives some strategies to protect farmland and keep the balance of the farmland conversion and the development of urbanization. The fifth chapter includes the conclusion, the future research direction and the deficiency of the paper.
