At present, domestic and overseas researches mostly focus on knowledge staff, but there are few researches aiming at the post-1990knowledge staff. The post-1990knowledge staff belongs to the scope of knowledge staff, but for the unique characteristics of their growth environment, they have presented the personality characteristics of experience openness and extraversion, obviously different from that of the post-1970and post-1980knowledge staff.Based on summarizing domestic and overseas related documents, taking Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs theory, flexible management, participatory management and emotional management, etc. as theoretical foundation, and by combining theoretical research and empirical research, this paper investigates multiple IT enterprises in terms of their excitation system for knowledge staff, problems existing, and employees’needs, etc. After collecting and sorting out questionnaire data, this paper conducts statistical analysis on the questionnaire investigation results with SPSS software. Then, according to the conclusion of empirical research, this paper brings forward the excitation mechanism for post-1990knowledge staff. The detailed research contents of this paper are as shown below:1. Research hypotheses and questionnaire design:Firstly, this paper defines related concepts like "Post-1990" and "Knowledge Staff", etc., in order to lower the ambiguity of questionnaire respondents and options; then according to the existing documents and combining with the personality characteristics of post-1990new employees graduating from university, this paper brings forward possible hypotheses about employee excitation mechanism. With these hypotheses as dimensions, this paper analyzes some factors considered in the setting of questions in the questionnaire, arranges the questionnaire reasonably, and tests the reliability and validity of the questionnaire results. And next, according to research hypotheses and existing research findings, and combining with the personality characteristics of post-1990staff, this paper constructs the model of excitation mechanism for post-1990s knowledge staff.2. Data collection, processing and analysis:After questionnaire collection and data statistics, this paper conducts descriptive analysis, reliability and validity analysis, and factor analysis on the data with SPSS software, and draws the conclusion that, the personality characteristics of post-1990knowledge staff are especially highlighted in terms of experience openness and extraversion, and the two personality characteristics make them seem to be specially sensitive in the two excitation dimensions of growth factor and work atmosphere. The conclusion in the two aspects proves the hypotheses brought forward in the above.3. Conclusion:The paper brings forward related countermeasures and suggestions for IT enterprises to effectively excite post-1990knowledge staff. It considers that, flexible management, participatory management and emotional management are effective management methods aiming at the psychological and behavior characteristics of post-1990knowledge staff. Also, it looks forward to the future.
