The Study On Technological Innovation Ability Of Manufacturing Exporting SMES

ABSTRACT: Technological innovation is the soul of a country’s national industry.How do our country transform from "manufacturing country" to "manufacturing giant",especially manufacturing&exporting SMEs improve their product competitiveness in theinternational market via continuous technological innovation, become a subject which wemust study.With the technology changing rapidly, technological innovation plays an increasinglyimportant role in the market competition. In recent years, the financial crisis led to theglobal economic downturn and the international market slump. In order to protectdomestic industries, most countries have adopted variety kind of convert means to limitimporting, such as Technical Trade Barriers, Green Trade Barriers and Blue Trade Barriers.Thus, as export enterprises, especially manufacturing&exporting SMEs, we must attachimportance to technological innovation, improve the enterprise’s technological innovationcapability, enhance the export value and export competitiveness and gradually improvethe impression of cheap and low quality of "Made in China".This paper describes the definition and development status of manufacturing&exportingSMEs, studies the technological innovation capability and technological innovationrelated theories, combined the technological innovation present situation ofmanufacturing&exporting SMEs and then build up technological innovation abilityevaluation system and related mathematical models of the capability of technologicalinnovation of manufacturing&exporting SMEs.This is the first time to adding some evaluation index such as the ability of usinginternational market environment and the ability of product exporting competitivenessinto the technological innovation ability evaluation system. We choose three enterprisesdata from a dozen companies which we have researched to do the empirical analysis andComparative Evaluation. Finally, we found out some problems exited and put forward thecorresponding recommendations on how to improve the technological innovationcapability of manufacturing&exporting SMEs.
