With China’s sustained economic development, increasing people’s standard of living, thehotel industry of our country has entered a period of rapid development, the hotel industrybecame more and more plentiful. In this context,the industry competition is also increasinglycruel, regardless of monomer hotel or hotel group, are doing their best to reduce cost, improveprofit margins, but the problem of too high employee turnover rate also has puzzled China’shotel industry, especially the grass-roots staff turnover rate has been high. The staff isenterprise’s lifeline and core competitiveness, employee satisfaction directly determines theprovision of services for guests’ satisfaction, and from a certain sense of hotel revenue andbrand image influence. Basic level employee is the large proportion of hotel staff, so on thebasis of employee satisfaction survey and analysis, has become a necessary and effectivemethod in the management of hotel human resources management department.The city of Qingdao currently has many domestic monomer hotels, such as the QingDaoSea View Garden Hotel. The InterContinental QingDao represents international hotels and anumber of high stars hotels, where the latter because it is now the world’s second largestinternational hotel group, and has five hotels in Qingdao, InterContinental Qingdao is onbehalf of the Stars Hotels of QingDao,so this paper chooses it as the object of empiricalresearch.According to the relevant contents of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory, designedthe questionnaire, combined with personal interviews, basic employee satisfaction on theInterContinental QingDao of data collection, and the data were analyzed by scientific analysisusing Excel software. Through the analysis of the problems in the InterContinental QingDaoemployee satisfaction, this paper presents five aspects of improving suggestions, namely: thechange of employee’s work values, optimizing the salary system, strengtheningcommunication, optimizing the performance appraisal system, expanding the space for staffdevelopment.. Through survey analysis of InterContinental QingDao employee satisfactionand improving advice, this paper plays a certain reference role of employee satisfactionmanagement in other hotels of QingDao city.
