Under the background of intensifying competition, the work pressure of the laborer has reachedunprecedented height. Too much work pressure not only harm individual’s physical and mental health, butalso influence the individual’s job involvement, and job involvement level will directly affect theperformance of the enterprise. This paper has choosed the staff as the respondent, and investigated the workstress, social support and the situation of job involvement of grass-roots employees in Henan province. Thepurpose of this study is to clear out the relationship between work stress, social support and jobinvolvement this three variables, and the influence mechanism of social support on the relationship betweenwork stress and job involvement of grass-roots employees.This paper, on the basis of questionnaire survey, has analysed the data using SPSS19.0to thedescriptive statistical analysis, demographic factors impact analysis and correlation analysis, and drew thefollowing conclusions in several aspects:(1) Staff have the work pressure above the average, andobstructive pressure is greater than challenging pressure. The biggest pressure of challenging pressurecomes from the control of the task time limit, and the biggest pressure of obstructive pressure of grass-rootsstaff promotes slowly;(2) Staff obtain higher subjective support, lower objective support and supportutilization in social support;(3) Staff have higher energy in job involvement, but lower level of dedicationand concentration;(4) Different demographic factors have different degrees of influence on the workpressure of staff work pressure, social support and job involvement;(5) The challenging pressure of staff issignificantly and positively correlated with job involvement, and there is a significantly negativecorrelation between obstructive stress and job involvement;(6) There is a negative correlation betweenwork stress and social support, but not significantly;(7)There is a significantly positive correlation betweensocial support and job involvement;(8) Social support only has buffer function in the process of workpressure influencing on job involvement.
