"A" company is a small state-owned military industrial enterprise, which is the only one specializingin valve production and development, benefited from the great development of space industry duringcountry’s development periods of "nine five" and "ten five", the management of "A" company has madesome achievements. However, with a large number of foreign-funded enterprises and private enterprisesrushing into the valve manufacturing industry, the market competition is fierce. On the other hand, ourcountry has recently carried out a series of policies to revitalize related industries and increase theinvestment in some areas such as nuclear power and High-speed Rail, which has provided greatopportunities to "A" company for development. In this environment, how to seize opportunities, evade therisk effectively, make a correct strategic choice, continue to grow, is worthy of systematic research andin-depth thinking from the aspect of the strategy.In order to achieve the strategic goal of "A" company, Strategic Management Theory is applied as aguideline, and a variety of strategic analysis methods and tools are used for a systematic study of "A"company’s development strategy to seek for suitable development strategy of "A" company. Base on this study,it shall put forward implementation suggestions and control measures of strategy.The main contents of this paper include the following parts:One is to analyze the external environment of "A" company. On the external environment, it launchesthe analysis form three aspects of macro environment, industry environment and competitors. It analyzes"A" company’s political and legal environment, economic environment, social cultural environment andtechnical environment by PEST. The valve manufacturing industry environment is studies with MichaelPorter’s Five Forces Model. It analyzes major competitors of "A" company. According to above analysis,opportunities and threats of "A" company external environment are identified, providing external basis forstrategic choice of "A" company.Two is to analyze the internal environment of "A" company. The membership, organization andresource of "A" company are concerned to master the advantages and disadvantages of "A" company’sinternal environment, which provide internal basis for "A" company’s strategic choice. Three is external factor evaluation, internal factor evaluation and SWOT analysis of "A" company."A" company’s strategy is determined development strategy on the basis of the SWOT integration analysisto opportunities, threats, advantages and disadvantages. In the foundation of having been identifieddevelopment strategy,"A" company’s mission, objectives, total development strategy and function strategyare determined, and it put forward implementation suggestions and control measures of strategy.To realize development strategy of company, the paper proposes five functional strategies of markingstrategy, production operation strategy, product strategy, technology innovation strategy and humanresource strategy, and raises implementation suggestions such as continuing to strengthen military market,continuing to carve out civil market, strengthening company’s internal management and forming R&D andproduction base. This study has guiding significance to "A" company’s development, and also has certainreference value to other valve manufacturing enterprises.
