Anylysis On The Factors Affecting Energy Consumption Of Construction Industry In Shaanxi Province And Energy Saving Measures

Construction industry have become a pillar industry for our country’s economy andmade great development since reform and opening up. However, the prosperity anddevelopment of construction industry have also brought large energy consumption. Theenergy conservation has important significance for construction industry’s healthydevelopment. Defining the factors affecting energy consumption of constructionindustry in Shaanxi province and making effective energy conservation measures haveimportant practical significance for achieving the energy-saving target for constructionindustry in Shaanxi province.Based on relevant researches in energy consumption of construction industry, thispaper firstly made a study on the development and energy consumption situation ofconstruction industry in Shaanxi province. And the results showed that the energyconsumption and the energy utilization level of construction industry in Shaanxiprovince had been in a growth stage in recent years. Then this paper made acomparative analysis on energy consumption situation of construction industry amongShaanxi province and the eastern coastal provinces and municipalities and found thatthere exsit some differences in the energy consumption’s characteristics of constructionindustry among Shaanxi province and the eastern coastal provinces and municipalities.The energy consumption of construction industry in Shaanxi province is much largeramong these provinces and municipalities and there exsits great energy saving space inconstruction industry in Shaanxi province. Secondly this paper used the STIRPATmodel and Ridge Regression method to carry on the empirical analysis on the factorsaffecting energy consumption of construction industry in Shaanxi province. And theresults showed that the factors the number of construction workers、 rich degree、 labor productivity and energy intensity all have significant effects on energy consumption andall have promoted the growth of energy consumption. And the number of constructionworkers is the main influence factor and followed according to the degree of importanceare the construction industry strength、rich degree and labor productivity. Thirdly, thispaper used the Trend Extrapolation method and Growth Rate method to predict thetrend of the development of these factors in the model in future, and made an anylysison the energy consumption situation and energy saving amount of construction industryin Shaanxi province in the future through the Scenario Analysis method. We need speedup the development of the construction technology level and strengthen the efforts inpromoting energy-saving policies bythe government to achieve the energy-saving targetfor construction industry during the twelfth five-year plan. Finally, Based on the aboveanalysis in this paper, this paper put forward some targeted suggestion for energyconservation and emissions reduction of construction industry in Shaanxi province fromthe technology、 resource utilization and the related policy three perspectives.This paper not only provided the theoretical basis for the development of energyconservation and consumption reduction for construction industry, also helped therelevant departments of Shaanxi province government to seek a way to promote thedevelopment of construction energy conservation. It has important practical significancefor construction industry in Shaanxi province to achieve the goal of energy saving andensure the sustainable economic development.
