Under the background of the socialist market economy and the sustainable development of agriculture, the farmland circulation has become the attentive focus of the whole society, as soon as it was put forward. Especially after the third plenary session of the eighteenth central committee, we encourage the development of various forms of land scale operation, support the contractual operation right of land circulate to professional large family, farmer cooperative and family farm. But now a lot of farmland circulation modes didn’t used according to local conditions and the unreasonable farmland circulation mode can reduce the efficiency of farmland. Therefore, optimizing the farmland circulation mode and accelerating the marketisation of farmland circulation are the inevitable choices to improve farmland circulation performance.Firstly, based on the1027household investigations, which come from11cities and55villages in Shaan-xi He-nan and Shan-dong provinces, this thesis chooses14variables from the aspects of farmers’ individual characters, family characteristics, regional characteristics, political factors, awareness and market factors and systematically analyses the factors which influence the will of mode selection in farmland circulation to ascertain the dominant circulation mode of different regions by using order probit regression model. Then, this paper builds effect farmland circulation evaluation index system with11indexes by selecting from the three aspects of economy, society, ecology to make comparisons between the dominant circulation mode of different regions by using coefficient of variation method and analytic hierarchy process. The result shows that different mode of farmland circulation will produce different performance, the economic performance, social performance and ecological performance of one mode is not necessarily always higher than another one. Finally, according to the features of evaluation objective this paper gives a comprehensive comparison between the dominant circulation mode of different regions with hierarchical grey evaluation mode. It was concluded that the more market-oriented the mode is, the more higher comprehensive performance it will have.In the light of the present situation that the circulation performance didn’t get the maximum quality of play and the marketization level is still low, this paper provides useful references for developing policies according to local condition and improving farmland circulation performance, combining with the analysis of performance evaluation between the dominant circulation mode of different regions.
