Tie business is a rise of modern commercial force based in the northeast of China.This Tie business has experienced a history for about160years and four steps arediscussedinthearticle:beginning,development, declineand public-privatepartnerships.Tie business rose during the Qing Dynasty which was governed by Emperor QianLong. It was deeply affected by natural disasters and the Lifting of the ban. At that harshtime, millions of people had to make a living to the northeast. Liu Xinting and ZhangXikong are among them, they separately came from Liu Shige village and Xiao Heituovillage in Leting County. They started early on the Northeast business with hug holes onfoot. They may not know that in their subsequent decades when Tai business rose rapidlyintheNortheast.Liu Xinting and Zhang Xikong had a great success in their business field. And thismagnificent feat broke the concept of family heirlooms that Le Ting people plowed thefields inherently. Also it changed the Le Ting county scholars, farmers, workers andbusiness handed down from generation to generation pattern. Some daring young manfollowed their footsteps, bidding farewell to friends and relatives. They went in companywiththeirpartnersout ofhometowns,continuing tothenortheastliving.At that time, based on the different areas, there are Shan Xi Gang, Shan Dong Gang,Zhili Gang and so on. When entering Guang Xu dynasty, Shan Xi Gang graduallydeclined, however, HeBei Gang strength boomed, especially the Tai business in itincreaseditsinfluencegradually.The Tai business flourished in the period of Republic of China, represented by thefirms of “Yi Fahe” and “Tong Ji”, during the end of Qing dynasty to the early Republic ofChina, Liu firms amounted to more than100in the three northeastern provinces. In tenyears, Liu business has been further developed. A long period of time since then,“YiFahe” firmhas beenleadingprivateenterpriseas a “boss”. Wu Baixiang, who was later known as “the North soul”, established the “Tong Ji”firm after he struggled to gain a foothold in Harbin, and later set up their own factories,formed their own industrials and commercial associates. The management idea in “TongJi” firm went ahead. And its sales turnover has been lifting in the first enterprises in thecity.After the Mukden Incident,, Japan economically governed in the northeast occupiedarea, regarding Northeast China as its raw material production bases and plundering thenortheast area wildly. During the period, the Japanese Puppet regime oppressed thedevelopment of natural industry and commerce, which led a large number of Tie Businessdeclined. In the puppet regime, commercial enterprises in northeast China aremarginalized,on thevergeofcollapse.After the founding of New China, the Tai commercial enterprises were in activelyresponse to the national “public-private partnership”.“Yi Fahe”,“TongJi” and otherwell-known companies joined the public-private partnership, going on the road ofsocialism.
