Balanced Study Between The Abundance Of Tourism Resources And The Development Of Inbound Tourism Economy In Yunnan,Guizhou,Sichuan And Chongqing

The State Council has formalized the status of tourism’s national economy since it decided to put tourism into the national economic and social development plan in 1986. As an important tourism system,inbound tourism is an effective link of China’s opening-up. Not only does it show a negligible effect in the regional economic growth but also it is a powerful method of regional economic coordination. Tourism resource is the material basis for healthy and stable development of regional tourism. The extent of tourism resources’ abundance in study area plays an important role in the rational development and integration of tourism resources, so does the development of regional tourism economy.Yunnan, Guizhou, Sichuan and Chongqing are all located in the southwest of China. Four provinces, which are the Western Development Strategy radiation areas, have many features in common in terms of topography, climate, biodiversity and resources. Beautiful natural scenery and rich ethnic customs that make the development of tourism economy in the four provinces have a large area advantage. It is worth noting that while Yunnan, Guizhou, Sichuan and Chongqing four provinces were carrying out domestic tourism in full swing, not only the government, but also the tourism companies ignored the inbound tourism market. Compared with Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and other developed cities, four provinces inbound tourism are weaker and less well-known abroad. Comparative analyses of the abundance of tourism resources and inbound tourism economic development in the four provinces, and then further to reveal the extent of balance between the two is in order to innovate the tourism industry business model, develop the regional tourism resources targetedly, determine the regional tourism development priorities, build the tourism services brand and boost regional inbound tourism industry development so on. They have positive significance and some practical significance.The data of this paper are to December 31, 2013. It selected the number of five high-level tourism resources monomers within the range of Yunnan, Guizhou, Sichuan and Chongqing to determine index weights of the absolute abundance of tourism resources by the Analytic Hierarchy Process, and then, to calculate the relative abundance of tourism resources after eliminating the area and demographic factors of the four provinces, last to obtain the abundance index of tourism resources in the four provinces. It is in the use of regional tourism industry and comprehensive multi-indexes to characterize the level of development of regional inbound tourism economy when to evaluate the level of inbound tourism economic development in the four provinces. Based on using the correlation test between the abundance of tourism resources and inbound tourism economy in the four provinces, then analysing the synchronized and dislocated pattern of the relationship between the two and explaining the pattern when the balance between the two is analysed.Practical measures have been proposed for the synchronized and dislocated pattern of the relationship between the abundance of tourism resources and inbound tourism economy in the four provinces which conducive to the coordinated development of inbound regional tourism economy.
