This paper describes a significant study of China nowadays, which benefits the progress of urban construction and social harmony. Along with the reform and opening-up policy of China, the social structure of the Chinese social class has changed a lot. The new generation of workers in the industry is playing an important role in the economic, cultural and social developments. Simultaneously, they’re facing a huge impact leading to some strikes. This thesis focuses on workers’ psychological need and the study of worker management.The workers of the XinSha Port shared their real situation by the questionnaires. With the guidance of the principle of people oriented and the theory of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, we made a research on the new generation of industry workers’ psychological demands, their needs of security, interpersonal communication and the realization of personal value and respect from other people. In fact, they earn low income and it is hard for them to have an apartment to live or enjoy the family time, etc.This paper provides some solutions to change the current situation of the new generation of industry workers. For example, the government needs to increase the civilized level of the workers so that their personal quality will be improved at the same time. Also,the government should completes the social insurance system, build affordable housing construction, promote an effective operation of the three party coordination mechanism of labor relationship and strength the supervision of the income allocation so that the management of the new generation of industrial workers will be strengthened as well as their psychological health will be taken good care.
