Research On Impacts Of Trade Facilitation Upon Trade Between China And Africa

With the continuous development of global trade liberalization, tariff level decreased gradually and it promoted the growth of international trade effectively.But with the world’s average tariff levels dropped to a certain degree,it doesn’t work to continue increasing trade activities,which is closing to its limit. At the same time, it increases the trade cost and the difficulties,which hindered the smooth process in international trade, because at present there are many hidden non-tariff barriers.It is tariff and non-tariff barriers which has no significant influence on trade that people have to search other ways.Then,trade facilitation comes on time.Trade facilitation reform has brought the attention of many international organizations and governments and promoting the reform of trade facilitation has important effect on further trade growth.Trading between China and Africa’s major countries has a long history.China is now actively promoting “economic belt silk road” and “21st Marine silk road”,which is extending across Africa now.With the deepening of China-Africa regional economic cooperation,trade activities grew rapidly.It has great meaning to research on how to increase the level of trade facilitation in China-Africa,which can promote trade environment and expands trade scale between China and Africa.This paper mainly discusses the four aspects,after summarizing literatures related to trade facilitation and combining with the relevant theory and the development of China-Africa trade facilitation.Firstly,Design the measure index system of trade facilitation,including five first indicators(CUST、PORT、INST、FINA and TECH) and 20 secondary indicators,and emphasizes that financial factors should be incorporated into the system to enrich the index system of trade facilitation.Secondly,this paper analyzes the current situation of trade and facilitation between China-African.This article emphasizes the differences in trade facilitation between African countries and China,United States,Germany,Japan.It also emphasizes trade facilitation performance in African internal-countries and factor-driven、efficiency-driven countries.Thirdly,in order to study trade facilitation’s effect on China-Africa trade empirically,this paper analyzes and inspects the sub-indexes’ s effect on China-Africa trade using gravity model and new factors and three years data( 2012、2013 and 2014) in African 38 counties.Last but not least,this paper puts forward to measures and suggestions which can speed up the trade facilitation process between China-Africa.To improve China-Africa’s trade facilitation,we can establish a wide range of business cooperation platform,with the help of China-Africa’s international cooperation.
