This paper discusses the development situation of inbound tourism market of the five northwestern provinces in the Silk Road under the background of the construction of "Silk road economic belt". Analysis is divided into three parts: ①First of all, this paper studies the present situation and the characteristic of reception of inbound tourism market in the silk road northwest five provinces, discovering that in case of the quantity and scale of inbound tourist, the inbound tourist of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan has largest scale, the inbound tourist of East Asia, Europe, the Americas and Oceania have similar scale, about half of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions. The number of inbound tourist in Southeast Asia region is the smallest, and the growth rate of the inbound tourist of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan is faster than the other inbound tourist countries. This paper studies the inbound tourism countries throughout all the provinces of the northwest five provinces (area) based on the target market marketing strategy theory, finding that the characteristics of "market specialization" in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions in the northwest five provinces is very obvious, the characteristics of the ShanXi, GanSu, QingHai, NingXia provinces is especially outstanding. The characteristics of "market specialization" in East Asia are also significant in the northwest five provinces. The inbound tourism market in XinJiang shows the characteristics of strong market concentration", Russia’s large scale of inbound tourists is the leading factor to this characteristics.②This paper also studies the temporal and spatial variation of inbound tourism output indicators of the five northwestern provinces in the Silk Road. The time trend of inbound tourism market of the five northwestern provinces in the Silk Road, this paper discovers that problem of QingHai is serious and there is more instability in the change of the number of inbound tourists relative to that of foreign exchange earnings from tourism of the five northwestern provinces in the Silk Road on the basis of comparison of variation trend of the number of inbound tourists and foreign exchange earnings of the five northwestern provinces in the Silk Road. Then this paper discusses absolute difference, relative differences and annual change of cluster tendency of the number of inbound tourists and that of foreign exchange earnings from tourism of the five northwestern provinces in the Silk Road, discovering that compared to foreign exchange earnings from tourism, except for absolute difference, there is a bigger relative differences, stronger regional monopoly trends in the five northwestern provinces in the Silk Road. ③This paper studies the input-output of inbound tourism market of the five northwestern provinces in the Silk Road, GanSu is eliminated by correlation analysis between the indicators and make a judgment on CRSTE, pure technical efficiency, scale efficiency and the change of returns to scale of other four provinces, then this paper conducts a further study of input redundancy and insufficient output of inbound tourism market of the other four provinces, discovering that the problem of input redundancy of the indicators in the tourism enterprise development is more serious, but the situation of insufficient output in other four provinces is different. At last, this paper conducts a comprehensive ranking about CRSTE, pure technical efficiency, scale efficiency of the four provinces by the Topsis method, discovering that inbound tourism market in QingHai and NingXia are less developed than ShanXi and XinJiang. The inbound tourism market in NingXia is least developed. Based on the above research conclusion, this paper sets forth the development of ascension path in inbound tourism of the silk road northwest five provinces. At the end of the paper, the deficiency and prospects of research are put forward.
