Integration Of Industries With Cities And Optimization Of Development Area

Over the past 20 years, the construction of development zones has rapidly improved industrialization and urbanization in China. However, achievements of development zones in industry development are better than that in urban services, which attribute to characters of development zones, but would bindweed obstacle in the transformation and upgrading of development zones. With the general increase of industrial activity costs in China and obvious disadvantages that urban Services lags behind industrial services, the upgrading of Chinese development zones is an urgent demand, which puts forward higher requirements to the quality of the population and social cultural capital accumulations of development zones.Under this background, to study how Industry-city Integration promotes the accumulation of social capital and the transformation and upgrading of the Development Zone has important theoretical and practical value.This paper is divided into five chapters. The introduction part of the article summarizes the research background, research significance, and research innovation. The main part of the relevant literature review study summarizes almost research of social capital and Industry-city Integration. Theoretical analysis section analyzes internal mechanism of the promotion between the Industry-city Integration and optimized development of Zone. The development of the zones has been facing a situation, where zone need to transformative development. The Industry-city Integration promotes the accumulation of social capital by the optimization of socio-cultural and social localized networks, which is benefited of the sustainable development of the zone. Finally, the paper studies the case of Kunshan Economic and Technological Development Zone. Combined with the development process of Kunshan zone, reanalyze integration of the city of Kunshan production status and social capital position, and give some proposes about the optimal path of Kunshan Development Zone. Concluding section summarizes the main findings, discussing the future research directions.The study has shown that most of development zones in China are facing pressure to upgrade. But this developing pattern emphasizing industry service function over the past has caused a serious shortage of human capital and social capital development Zone, and has become an obstacle to the transformation and upgrading. In the process of coordinating industry service function and social service function, The Industry-city Integration promotes the accumulation of social capital and human capital and creates the conditions for the optimization of innovation and entrepreneurial atmosphere. The study of Kunshan Development Zone shows, the degree of the Industry-city Integration is gradually increasing but still at a lower level, and the social capital in Kunshan Development Zone need further optimized. Therefore, it is necessary to further promote the Industry-city Integration in Kunshan Development Zone, optimizing the local population social structure and social capital position to enhance the development of the Zone. Therefore, including the Kunshan Development Zone, most of development zones in China are necessary to optimize human capital and social capital to promote the transformation and upgrading of development zones.
