Study On Land Use Efficiency Of Yangtze Delta During The Process Of Urbanization

With the rapid development of urbanization, construction land in our country is expanding swiftly, but rural land is eroded. The confliction between economic take-off and farmland protection is increasingly prominent. The scope of built-up-area and infrastructure is larger, which leads to some problem such as "city village", the parallel of regional industry and duplicate constructions at low level. Yangtze Delta, as the most developed area of southeastern coastal areas, has achieved high level of urbanization, whose land efficiency problem is worth considering.Based on the theory of land use efficiency and urbanization, this paper used data envelopment analysis method to access the efficiency of construction land of five areas of Jiangsu and Zhejiang province. From the report from software DEAP 2.0, we could conclude that generally, land efficiency of Jiangsu province is higher than Zhejiang province in 1995-2013.Within Jiangsu province, South Jiangsu is of the best performance, and construction land efficiency of middle Jiangsu is higher than north Jiangsu.Selecting panel data, this paper also get factors effecting efficiency of construction land as such level of urbanization, individual and private economy and scope of built up area made positive contribution. To increase land use efficiency, mechanism of performance evaluation of local government should be reformed, government should take role in guiding reasonable industrial layout of township enterprise cluster, and formulating reasonable macroeconomic regulation. The last but not the least, land size should be controlled according to all levels of land planning.
