As the core of information industry, software industry is knowledge intensive industry. Talents are the core of the software development cost. As a result, the software industry’s competition is the core of talent competition, and in recent years, especially for high-end talent competition more intense, so the control of staff turnover is software companies face a serious problem.Lanzhou straight side information technology co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as LZZF) is based on a start-up software company in Lanzhou, Gansu province, encountered in the process of development personnel shortage, especially personnel erosion is very serious, cultivate the talents mostly into 3 big cities, such as that caused serious constraints on the development of enterprises. Therefore, this article mainly discusses the software company how to retain talent in the northwest less software atmosphere environment for research. First, this paper set up the related concepts and theoretical models to analyze the features of the knowledge-type employees. Based on the above basis, LZZF do the employee satisfaction survey for employees, and do the leaving reason for departing employees. To analysis the current situation of enterprise human resources, and investigation and analysis reflects the low employee satisfaction, loyalty, and team cohesion is poor, disparity is not obvious between employees, and feel good about themselves. To solve these problems, this paper puts forward the corresponding control measures.
