Reasons And Solutions Of Chinese Urbanization Lagging Behind Industrialization

The urbanization and industrialization support each other and common development; this is an inevitable social economical phenomenon in the evolution of human society to modern society. The paper starts from the general pattern of the world urbanization development, the first using horizontal comparison and vertical to comparison method to analyze the characteristics of urbanization in the world, the general pattern and the main countries of the world urbanization and industrialization development. And then conclude China urbanization lagging behind industrialization conclusion by constructing the IU standard and NU standard of two indicators. Then the paper from the way of economic growth and labor transfer estimate the cost of urbanization and industrialization of China, and study on the reason of China urbanization lagging behind industrialization are the main structure of the traditional industrial technology, special labor transfer mode and the land system etc. The last the paper summarizes the main contradiction in Chinese urbanization lags behind industrialization generated from three aspects, human rights and the process of agriculture, income gap between urban and rural areas, and puts forward three suggestions from the industrial structure, the social welfare policy and land.The main conclusions of the paper is urbanization rate of China is low, and the process of urbanization lags behind industrialization, which is mainly decided by traditional industrial technology structure, special labor transfer mode and land policy.
