Employee training has always been important since the foundation of company A. As the company is more mature after years’ development, company management leaders are expecting higher performance from shift leaders. They hope that, the shift leader training is not just about varied materials, it should be more systematic. This thesis is based on the practices of company A’s shift leader training. Modern human resource training theories and tools will be used to address the problems and find the solutions. Shift leader competency training model will be established for company A.Study of shift leader training system based on competency model will help improve the company’s productive power and core competitiveness. The model established for company A’s shift leader training lays the foundation for establishment, execution and development of other human resource modules; This model will make shift leaders clear about their learning and development goals, leading to more efficient individuals and better performance; This model will help the company exploit employees’ potentials, improve human resource development and gain more competitiveness; Also, the model developed for company A’s shift leader training can be used as reference for other enterprises.
