With knowledge and technologies changing for the better day by day in today’s society, innovation has become an important guarantee for enterprise’s sustainable development, and innovation performance has turned into an important standard to assess staff and a way to show capability. Due to the growing complexity of the work content and the increasingly apparent flat trend of organizational structure, team work has enjoyed more popularity. As a result, team innovation performance attracts more and more attention. Researchers have acquired some achievements on the study of team innovation performance and its antecedent variables, but little attention is paid to the study of team citizenship behavior among various antecedent variables. The existing studies have shown that the extra-role behavior of staff has a positive impact on job performance, and some domestic scholars also put forward the concept of team citizenship behavior and its influence on team innovation performance; however, empirical studies between them are not common. At the same time, the positive impact of knowledge sharing on team innovation performance has reached a consensus in many studies. Therefore, this study introduces knowledge sharing, an intervening variable, to study the relationship between team citizenship behavior and team innovation performance under the background of Chinese culture, hoping that it can provide a little help and reference for the academia and enterprise management.Based on the predecessors’research, this study establishes measurement scale of team citizenship behavior, knowledge sharing and innovation performance measurement, using questionnaires to investigate the relationship among them, which are, in the following, brought into one same model to discuss the mechanism of action of team citizenship behavior on team innovation performance and to analyze the mediating effect of knowledge sharing. This study verifies that there is a significantly positive correlation between team citizenship behavior with its various dimensions and knowledge sharing; knowledge sharing is also positively correlated to team innovation performance and its two dimensions. Knowledge sharing serves as partial intermediary role between team citizenship behavior and team innovation performance. In addition to helping behavior, which has influence on team innovation performance without using explicit knowledge sharing, the other dimensions of team citizenship behavior have indirect effects on team innovation performance through knowledge sharing.
