As urbanization constantly progressing for a long time in China, Xinjiang, an important constructiveforce of northwestern border, the only way to guarantee its lasting stability and improve people’s wellbeingis to accelerate urbanization process, which decided by its economy, culture, history and etc. it not onlyshoulder the special historical mission “military reclamation and safeguarding the borders”, but alsoundertake the role of "stabilize and invigorate Xinjiang". Therefore, social stability and development inXinjiang couldn’t exist without the economic growth of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps.Article takes the Sanping New District of Twelfth Division of Xinjiang Production and ConstructionCorps as example, and discuss its residential housing security during urbanization. It has a special mode ofurbanization---devote to build indemnificatory house, which due to its special geographicalposition---located between Urumqi and Changji. Of course, urbanization is not only about construction, andthe more important it is to improve public services and residents’ quality of life and change residents’lifestyle by centralized living."Habitat" is a worldwide topic, and China faces a especially severe housing problem as a developingcountry with a large population, and there is no exception for farmer worker of Xinjiang Production andConstruction Corps. We took investigation on Sanping New District (a farm of Twelfth Division ofXinjiang Production and Construction Corps) and processed data from questionnaires by SPSS21.0method.Thus we found a specific way to improve farm workers’ life by construct indemnificatory houses; besides,for the exist problem came up in constructing indemnificatory houses, we suggest thorough planning beforeconstruct a community to ensure convenient living and beneficial to production, and we also proposestrengthen infrastructure. The research provides a theoretical basis for further development ofindemnificatory housing of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps during urbanization.
