Currently, a great many of domestic aero-engine manufacturers are attaching more importance to the development of large assembly parts for gas turbine combustors due to high added value per piece and good investment returns. But at the same time, if by improper management, the developing of these parts would have higher risk in project delay and failure just because of their technical difficulties and complex development procedures. Therefore, from this point, the aim of this thesis is to analyze the application of the popular project management techniques in the course of developing large combustion assembly parts.The contents of this thesis include:(1) Analysis of the background of the choosing thesis.(2) Project management scheduling management theory introduction.(3) The current status of the5B TP assembly developing.(4) Planning and improvement of the project development.(5) The project developing control and monition.(6) The conclusion and future plan.The results of the studied project in this article has approved that to compile the project schedule by applying proper project management technique can facilitate the project running and also can help to reduce the total project duration to meet customer’s requirements. And meanwhile, the contents discussed in this thesis can also be used as a reference for the developing of other similar large assembly parts in LM. Also the application of the project developing management will do the contribution to both the technical and quality management, and shows the complex capability of LM Corporation and lay a good foundation to get new parts development projects and more purchase orders.
