| In the context of globalization, the competition between enterprises has evolved into the competition among supply chain network. With the increasing of enterprises embedded in the supply chain downstream, the supply chain has become more and more complex. Research on supply chain triads has replaced supply chain dyads and gradually become hotspots in supply chain research. The companies have to integrate their partners’ advantages in the supply chain network if they want to acquire continuous competitive advantages. As very important intangible assets, reputation is scarce resource can’t be copied, which has gained more and more concentration from supply chain companies aiming to use it to enhancing performance.This paper explores the influence mechanism of suppliers’ reputation on core enterprises’ operation performance based on the supply chain triads among suppliers-core enterprises-customers. After summarizing previous research literature, we come up with a model interpreting suppliers’ reputation affects core enterprises’ performance through mediating role of relational capital, which is verified by questionnaire and empirical analysis.First, we systematically reviewed relevant literature concerning supply chain triads, company reputation, relational capital, communication, trust and operation performance. Second, proposing hypothesis and designing scale to measure suppliers’ reputation, relation between core enterprises and customers, and core enterprises’ performance according previous literature. Besides, collecting data by sending questionnaires to relevant manufactures and analyzing the data with SPSS and AMOS, and finally draw the following conclusions:1. Domestic companies’ reputation can be measured with Company Reputation Model, including image, competitive capability, social background, value pursuing, charisma, social responsibility, transnational business ability.2. Suppliers’ reputation has a positive influence on downstream companies’ operation performance. 3. Suppliers’ reputation can also exert a positive impact on the performance of core companies’ customers through mediating role of relational capital, including trust and commutation.This paper enriches research on supply chain triads and suppliers’reputation on core companies’ operation performance. In the research of supply chain triads, this paper innovatively proposes trust and communication as the intermediary roles between reputation and operational performance. It will provide a reference for introducing other intermediary variables or moderator variables to expand the research in the future. |
