FAW Jiefang Automotive Co.Ltd Engine Company, a state-owned enterprisewith a history of60years, once had a very glorious history. Its growing steps are amicrocosm of the development of China automobile industry. However, as theadjustment of the group company’s overall strategy, the change of internationalsituation and market, and the change of environmental factors, Engine company hasloss-makings in the past many years, which is a heavy blow to the loss ofstate-owned assets. So it has a great meaning to study Engine company in how todevelop business strategy, improve operating performance, strengthen domesticautomobile industry, and revitalize old industrial base.The development strategy of enterprise is to indicate direction for enterprise indeveloping, including strategy analytics, strategic planning, strategy implementationand strategy control this four dynamic process. Only when the direction is clear,the management activity of enterprise will not lose direction, Entrepreneurs willknow what is the right thing. At today, when economic develops rapid, enterprisespay more and more attention to the importance of enterprise development strategy.This paper makes Engine company as the research object, using the basic theory ofstrategic management and research Engine company’s development strategy. Afterreading, classification, sorting and combining with the enterprise’s internal andexternal environment, this article analyses SWOT and determines the basis of theenterprise strategy formulation.Chapter one, introduces under the develop and demand environment of worldcar market, all the level of the whole industry, Engine company’s organizational structure, research Engine company`s development strategy background, and thesignificance of research on development strategy of the company and the method forthe instituteChapter two, analyzes the status of Engine company, including overview of thecompany as well as the status. And through the analysis of the present situation, findout the main problems of Engine company: without standard management system,reflecting in the absence of perfect human resource management, human resourcesincentive system, and no complete training mechanism, leading to managementoptimization; Product market structure is unitary, over-dependence on the market;No public relations techniques, the main sales strategies lack of initiative, in thestatus of waiting for customers; Lack of investment strategy, in order to responsenation and group company, without considering actual situation, the pace is large,leading to lack of investment strategy; Spending is out of control, the enterpriseoperating costs are too high, impacting the economy benefits a lot.Chapter three, by analyzing Engine company external environment and internalenvironment, finds out the advantages, disadvantages and enterprise corecompetitiveness, make clear of the development of enterprise itself,strategicdirection and objectives of the enterprise operation management, finally through theSWOT analysis, find several suitable development strategies for enterprises.Chapter four, analysis of company strategy formulation and implementationprocess. Based on the analysis of the industry and enterprise development, on thebasis of fully combining with the actual situation of state-owned enterprises, Enginecompany’s development strategy are proposed. And analyse the strategy of theconcrete implementation process step by step, and the implementation process, howto effectively guarantee the implementation, on the implementation of the strategy ofprocess control, effectively guarantee the implementation process is not a problem.
