The country’s development and social harmony and stability without oil. Since the new century, with China as the world’s second largest economic entity, the increasingly strong domestic demand for oil, energy structural contradiction of supply and demand has been increasingly revealed. China has become the world’s second largest oil consumer, heavily dependent on foreign oil imports, the oil security facing the dual challenge both inside and outside is influencing national security. The sprat islands has been China’s territory since ancient times, China within nine section of the line of the sovereignty of the south China sea has indisputable historical facts and legal basis. The south China sea is of important significance for China’s oil security, its rich oil and gas resources is China’s important energy base. At the same time, the route of the south China sea is the sea energy lifeline across east Asia, east Asian countries were imported from the Middle East and Africa as most energy passes through the south China sea.At present, in addition to the south China sea sovereignty dispute caused widespread attention, oil security is the focus of attention. Therefore, in the perspective of the oil security problem analysis of the new changes and new features of the south China sea issue, in-depth study of China’s energy security and the sovereignty of the south China sea issue, for China’s national sovereignty and long-term stable development is of great realistic significance. But the instability of the south China sea region, and regional powers outside the region in south China sea, for China’s stable development and utilization of the south China sea oil, guarantee the stability of the national energy supply even threat caused a certain adverse conditions. Therefore, China must develop a scientific and effective in the south China sea oil security strategy, improving pertinence and respond to the changes in the south China sea issue development foresight, enhance our ability to maintain the sovereignty in the south China sea area, ensure the stability of the good China’s oil supply.
