Analysis On Purchasing Logistics Optimization In Automobile Industry

The purchasing logistics of automobile parts is the beginning of entire automobile logistics, which is affected by its successful development in automobile industry. In general, the purchasing logistics carries two main responsibilities: one is to guarantee materials are supplied timely, accurately, and reasonably; the other is to integrate logistics process that aims to optimize logistics cost. The core of the logistics activity is to ensure the materials are delivered, by most rapid way, at lowest cost and in most economic process, through the safest transit to the destination of automobile facility.This dissertation focuses on the purchasing logistics in automobile industry. Firstly, it introduces the system of purchasing logistics of automobile parts, and then the thesis analyzes the differences of logistics pattern in CKD parts and local parts under the system of “pyramid” automobile supply chain. On this basis, the paper emphasizes optimizing strategies in regards to the purchasing logistics pattern, and respectively puts forward constructive proposals for automobile suppliers located in overseas and domestics. The research takes a living example of current status of purchasing logistics in company A, studies in depth the logistics pattern of CKD parts as well as local part and advises several concrete methods for improving logistics patterns, among which delivery frequency optimization for CKD parts is the main focus of the discussion. Linear programming is the tool selected to calculate and analyze CKD parts delivery frequency optimization in order to eliminate mix-packing, to reduce inventory pressure, meanwhile, to lead a guide for warehouse area setting. These methods are practical for daily use in the work. At last, it introduces inventory control methods in automobile industry. The achievement of purchasing logistics optimization will be directly reflected on inventory pressure drop, and on the other hand, efficient inventory management method will bring out smooth process of logistics.The thesis pays more attention on the research of purchasing logistics in automobile industry on the basis of theoretical study of automobile logistics. The study of logistics optimization for CKD parts is the core of this paper and is critical to the construction and improvement for the whole logistics system in automobile industry. It provides examples and valuable references to logistics professionals in practice.
