For example, Vegetable Industry in Shandong Shouguang, Tea industry in Fujian Anxi, Tourism industry in Yunnan Lijiang. Regional forestry economic development also need to fully integrate the region’s forest resources, and forestry advantage industries play a leading role in the forestiy industry, and comprehensively use of ecological, economic and social benefits of forestry. In order to making good use of superiority and advantages of forest resources in Jilin Province, to speed up the forestry industry structure adjustment and optimization, and change the phenomena of simplification, also convergence of forestry industrial structure, the selection and development of forestry advantage industry in Jilin Province, to improve the forestry industry competitiveness all has the vital significance, from both theory and practice.Under the guidance of theory of the geographical division of labor, and theory of competitive advantage, also correlation theories of forestry development, it clarifies the forestry development status of Jilin. On this basis, considering the evaluation index system and the method on selection of regional advantage industiy, to analyze the comparative advantage, the degree of specialization, competitive advantage of the forestry industry in Jilin Province. The first 8 alternative forestry advantage industries selected initially by location quotient and coefficient of concentration; then from the aspects of industrial economic benefits, employment, regional advantages, ecological and environmental impact, the capacity for sustainable development, using the method of AHP to rank the 8 alternative forestry advantage industries, ultimately determine the fundamental and key forestry advantage industries on the basis of Jilin province actual, to make good use of the comparative advantage of regional forestry; then using Gray GM(1,1) forecasting model, to predict the development of 3 key forestry advantage industries and draw the development trend chart; according to the different emphases in different regions of the province’s forestry development and the ecological construction, preliminary layout and forestry advantages industries development. Then analyze the advantages and bottlenecks of the development of forestry advantage industry in Jilin province. On this basis, to put forward targeted suggestions for the development of various forestry advantages industries; finally, put forward some safeguard measures to develop the forestry advantage industry from the policy system, forestry financing, technological innovation, social service etc. To provide evidence to promote the development and transformation of forestry industry in Jilin Province, fully exert Jilin forestry resources advantages, comprehensively and reasonably develop forestry resources, forestry advantage industries playing a leading role in the Jilin, overall exert ecological, economic and social role of forestry, and improve the ecological environment and sustainable development of forestry in Jilin Province.
