The Study Of Establishing Alliance Models Of Medium & Small Scale Logistics Companies In The City Of Xian Yang

Along with the gradually in-depth Chinese economic reformation, in the 12 th five-year plan period, Chinese economy has transformed profoundly and such transformation has reflected across the county among all industries and fields. Logistics, as a supportive service industry, has always directly impacted the development of our economy. The rapidly growth e-commerce development also raised challenge on traditional logistics. In September of 2014, the State Council issued the Notice of Logistics Medium and Long term Development Plan. This notice includes a detailed analysis of the state quo and position of the industry and the general target and key projects for the future development. It is a programmatic guild of upcoming logistics structure optimization and systemic upgrading. The analysis shows the characteristic of the industry are: majority of those companies are medium and small scale, below the benchmark of the industry, hardly meet the requirements from the economy development. The study has covered the following aspects of local logistic companies, company scale, general level, profitability, market competitiveness, long term development plan etc., and the findings is not optimistic. Fronting the challenges from domestic and global players in recent years, local medium and small companies are facing multiple problems to develop. This study, grounded on the realities of those companies and integrated local economy features, proposed a localized alliance ship between them to promote an extensive healthy development of the industry. This proposal is based on enterprise strategic alliance theory, game theory and transaction cost theory; introduced virtual logistic alliance concept. The study also analyzed the necessary and advantages of this alliance ship including a SWOT analysis. To those different types of Xian Yang logistic companies, specific model of alliance are selected. Expand on that, the study also intensively discussed alliance model implementation, establishment, resource sharing, information communication, trust mechanism and much more.
