With the accelerating pace of society and the increasing social competition, employees in all fields are facing the increasing job demands while possessing limited job resources. This lead to a prevalence of job burnout, seriously affecting the physical and mental health of individual and career development. Moreover, the limited job resources cost personal working enthusiasm and vigor, which affect personal job engagement. Therefore, more and more scholars and enterprises study on job burnout in different industries from the perspective of psychology, sociology, organizational behavior and business management. Researchers joined job engagement in the Job Demands-Resources Model(JD-R Model), explore the causes of job burnout, looking for the intervention of job burnout.Based on the theory of career competencies and job engagement, this paper rebuild the JD-R Model and put forward several hypotheses, investigate the relationship among job demands, job resource, job burnout and job engagement, explore how career competencies mediate the relationship between job resource and job engagement. This research investigated enterprise employees below 30 years old by using MBI-GS, JCQ, WUES and CCQ, and 318 valid questionnaire were collected. We used SPSS20.0 to analyze the data and validate the assumptions of this study, then discussed the results.The research results show that efficiency demand has a significantly positive influence on exhaustion and cynicism, knowledge and skill demand has a significantly negative influence on cynicism but has a significantly positive influence on inefficacy, job complexity demand has a significantly negative influence on inefficacy, social support has a significantly negative influence on cynicism and inefficacy, social support and distribution justice has significantly positive influence on job engagement. Distribution justice can play a moderating role between job demand and cynicism. Either of Social support and distribution justice has a significantly positive influence on career competencies. Career competencies has a significantly positive influence on job engagement, and they can not only mediate the relationship between social support and job engagement, but also mediate the relationship between distribution justice and job engagement.This study discusses the job burnout of enterprise employees by using JD-R Model, extending the research field of job burnout. At the same time, it can also provide some theory foundation and propose some advice to release job burnout.
