Analysis Of The New Generation Of Migrant Workers Education And Training Problems Supply And Demand

With the rapid development of reforming and opening up policy, the farmers are not limited to the land, and they become a new type of labor force and a main part of industrial workers, which plays a significant role in the construction of modernization. In recent years, the party and government have paid special attention to the farmers. On January 31,2010, The State Council issued the first document "Opinions on strengthening urban and rural development consolidate the foundation of agriculture rural development", in which the concept "new-generation migrant workers"was first put forward. It stresses the importance of taking measures to solve the problems of new-generation migrant workers, so as to achieve the citizenization of new-generation migrant workers.The priority of new-generation migrant workers is employment. People have reached a consensus. Education and training is very important for migrant workers to have good jobs.In order to assure the sound employment, it is necessary to build the education and training system which are suitable for migrant workers and cultivate their professional skills.This essay takes the new generation of migrant workers in Kangqiao area in Pudong as an example, distributes to them a questionnaire about the status quo and existing problems of their education and training, then analyzes their supply and demand of education and training, thus puts forward a new education and training system suitable to them, and finally gives the government and enterprises some relative suggestion. This essay comprises six parts. The first part is introduction, which includes study background, study object, study contents, study methods, study focus, difficulties and innovations. The second part introduces related study summary and entails come core concepts, such as migrant workers, new generation of migrant workers, education and training of the new generation of migrant workers. The third part discusses the status quo and existing problems of education and training of the new generation of migrant workers. This part is based on the result of the questionnaire about the status quo of their education and training, which demonstrates the important role of education and training that plays in employment orientation. The fourth part deals with need analysis of their education and training. According to the questionnaire result of 248 migrant workers in Kangqiao area, concrete training needs are illustrated. The fifth part analyzes the supply of education and training available to migrant workers. It begins with the externality of education and training, and analyzes the matching degree between supply and need of their education and training. The sixth part gives some conclusions with the government and enterprises some suggestion on the education and training of new generation of migrant workers.
