Urban and rural dual economic structure is hampering the development of China’s economy, hindering implementation the goals of building a comprehensive well-off society. Currently China has entered the Internet era, the development of the Internet has affected all aspects of society. This article attempts through the analysis of China’s urban and rural dual economic structure transformation process, at the same time, draw lessons from western related theory, find out the factors influencing the current urban and rural dual economic structure transformation, and through the analysis of the functions and characteristics of the Internet, contact the current actual situation proposed the Internet in the urban and rural dual economic structure transformation can play a role.The first chapter, this paper introduces the selected topic background and significance, points out the importance of urban and rural dual economic structure problem and the need for research. At the same time, this paper introduces the domestic and foreign scholars on urban and rural dual structure problems related research present situation, and this article research mentality and the research methods used.The second chapter,firstly introduces the basic concept and features of the Internet and the current development situation in China. The Internet is a variety of electronic terminal equipment, through the satellite signal and the circuit connected to form the information network, the Internet because of its characteristics such as openness, interoperability, timeliness in China developed rapidly, widely accepted by people, as in December 2015, Chinese Internet users reached 688 million. Secondly this paper introduces the basic concept of urban and rural dual economic structure, expounds the relationship between urban and rural areas of Marx theory and western theory on the analysis of the dual economic structure. Marx and Engels think the relationship between urban and rural areas has experienced from dependence to opposing to the fusion is stages of development. Western theoretical analysis of the dual economic structure mainly introduced liu- fei- la model, Jorgenson model and Darrow model. In the final analysis the relationship between Internet and urban and rural dual economic structure, mainly through analysis the influence factors of urban and rural dual economic structure transformation, combined with the characteristics of the Internet, will be the development of the Internet with urban and rural dual economic structure transformation.The third chapter, analyzed the process of China’s urban and rural dual economic structure transformation, as well as for urban and rural dual economic structure transformation in the current stage of the need to put forward the Internet can play a role in the development of rural economy, including the connection of urban and rural markets, improve rural education, transformation of rural surplus labor. At the same time, this paper introduces the basic concept of digital divide, put forward by Internet development imbalance between urban and rural areas caused by the digital divide problem hinders the urban and rural dual economic structure transformation.The fourth chapter, combined with the actual analysis of the Internet in rural development problems encountered, including rural residents for the Internet application ability is poor, low income, and rural infrastructure construction lag behind, these problems hampering the Internet play its role of urban and rural dual economic structure transformation. And finding out the causes of these problems from the perspective of objective, including the slow development of rural education, rural aging population is serious, and some of the infrastructure construction in rural areas difficult problem.The fifth chapter, in view of the encountered problems in the development of the Internet, puts forward the reasonable countermeasures and Suggestions. Suggested to strengthen the construction of network infrastructure and supporting the implementation of rural power grids transform, encourage the development of electronic commerce. Put forward the proposal on the security of the Internet, to ensure that the broad masses of users to have the use of a secure, stable environment. Suggest formulate unified and effective evaluation system of Internet education, Internet education become a part of the national education within the system. Also suggested that the government actively guide the rural residents to use the Internet, to cultivate farmers’ consciousness of the Internet, from conception to accept and agree to the Internet.
