| During the process of Chinese industrialization and urbanization, a large number of young rural labor transfer to non-agricultural industries, along with the generation of the "hollow village" phenomenon. The generation of hollow village makes the rural population aging, "empty nest" phenomenon more serious, and further weakening the function of traditional rural family pension. And because of the existence of urban-rural dual structure, public services in rural areas is seriously lagging behind the urban, so there are many deficiencies in the old-age security system in rural area. Under this double pressure, some of the village in Northern Yinchuan in Ningxia by drawing new rural pension model for other regions, using the idle, abandoned schoolhouse, re-decoration, alteration them to centralize the village "empty nesters", formed a new model of mutual assistance pension.In this paper, we take the village with typical mutual assistance nursing home in Northern Yinchuan in Ningxia as well as the neighboring village as the survey area, based on the first-hand information obtained from the way of questionnaire survey and focus interview. Using the method of statistical description, ordinal probit and elasticity of demand, comparatively analyzed the basic status and satisfaction in the family pension mode and mutual assistance pension mode under the background of hollow village. Then analysis the influence of the mutual assistance pension on pension satisfaction and analysis the potential demand for services of mutual assistance pension under the background of hollow village. The following are the conclusions of this paper:(1) participate in the rural mutual assistance pension can significantly improve the rural elderly pension satisfaction;(2) rural elderly in the village in which the economic level, the monthly income and the monthly number of children to visit the elderly in rural areas have a significant positive impact on the rural elderly pension satisfaction;(3) in the daily life of the elderly in rural areas, at least one thing that they can’t take care of themselves have a significant negative impact on their pension satisfaction;(4) The current rural elderly have huge potential demand of services for mutual assistance Pension, especially under the non-elastic category of emergency rescue, long-term care after action inconvenience, medical personnel on-site medical care and regular visits of relatives and friends.According to the conclusions, the following policy recommendations are put forward:(1) Government should further promote the construction of rural mutual assistance pension;(2) Increase the financial input to rural mutual assistance pension;(3) improve the level of social security of older people in rural areas, and increase their income;(4) implement the rural elderly care for inelastic service items of potential service as soon as possible. |
