Under the new situation of economic development, Chinese urban-rural dual economic structure cannot meet the needs of Chinese current political economy development. Since the 1980s, Chinese rural tourism has developed rapidly. As an important part of tourism, rural tourism, not only occupies a large proportion in the tourism industry, but also plays an important role in Chinese agricultural industry adjustment. Rural tourism has also become a new way to solve the three rural issues, which helps farmers get ride of poverty and increase profit. However, the development of rural tourism is bound to involve farmers’ basic interests. This study is based on farmers’ perspective and involves the entire rural tourism development process and related agricultural policies around farmers, whose aim is to explore the thinking of farmers with factors like farmer, land, rural tourism and so on.According to the needs of research, the author has done a lot of interviews and investigations. Interview survey material has been compiled into a text and has been coding analysed by QSR Nvivo 10, which has been organised into a core of a tree:the farmers’ will in the rural tourism development in Wangcheng district; four second level generic groups:farmers’ vocational conversion will, the overall evaluation of rural tourism development, land conversion will, the will and expression of interest demands; 13 third level node cluster:going out for work and wanting to participate in the rural tourism; unwilling, willing or neutral to be transferred and imposed; not satisfied with the compensation standard, the compensation mechanism unreasonable, petitions, looking for media exposure, resistance work; positive attitude of the development of rural tourism, negative, positive or neutral evaluation of the development of rural tourism. There are 87 free nodes in total, in which there are 25 free nodes of generic cluster about the will of farmers’ vocational conversion, whose coverage rate is 0.1909; there are 22 free nodes of generic cluster about overall evaluation of rural tourism development, whose coverage rate is 0.2494; there are 13 free nodes of generic cluster about land conversion will, whose coverage rate is 0.1886; there are 27 free nodes of generic cluster about the will and expression of interest demands, whose coverage rate is 0.3580. In the node cluster of third level, the most nodes are’going out for work’, in which there are 21 nodes; the highest coverage rate is the node of’the negative evaluation of rural tourism development’, whose coverage rate is 0.1803. According to the coverage rate and the number of nodes, we can conclude different degree of main will to an issue or topic for farmers.Through the comparison and conclusion of data, the author finds:① In terms of farmers’ vocational conversion, going out for work has become a common willingness of farmers. ② In terms of land conversion will, the attitude varies from respondents, the farmers’ will of being unwilling to be transferred and imposed is strong. ③ In terms of the overall evaluation of rural tourism development, the positive evaluation of farmers is less with the simple reason. The negative evaluation is more with different reasons.④ In terms of the will and expression of interest demands, the farmers’willingness to express is more obvious. The will is mainly in the aspect of economic interest, and there is also strong expression like resistance work.
