Study Of Agricultural Industrial Structure Convergence In Xishuangbanna

Agricultural industry structure convergence had obvious implications for regional economic development in China as an important aspect of agricultural industrial structure adjustment. For the convergence of industrial structure problem, there were more scholars had conducted research, and research on the agricultural convergence still less about its measurement methods, causes and impact have yet to be further in-depth research and analysis. Xishuangbanna as a farm states, there were some agricultural industry structure convergence phenomenon. It was necessary to analysis the status, causes and effects of the agricultural structure convergence and make certain recommendations for the adjustment of agricultural industry structure.Firstly, this study conduted the agricultural industrial structure convergence in Xishuangbanna by using the agricultural output value of related industries through agricultural output configuration, Krugman index and structural similarity coefficient. The study found that there was a certain degree of convergence between the two counties and one city and Xishuangbanna, especially for the Jinghong and Mengla, Xishuangbanna and Mengla, Xishuangbanna and Jinghong, but the trend weakened. Compared two-digit and three-digit industry classification level of agricultural industry structure convergence of circumstances, we could find three-digit industry classification level of agricultural industry structure convergence was weaker and realistic.Secondly, by analysis the reasons of agricultural industry structure convergence in Xishuangbanna, we found the natural environment, geography, cultural traditions and agricultural science and technology were the basic conditions affecting agricultural industry structure convergence. Government policies, farmers and market-driven decisions and other factors combined, were the post-conditions that promoting agricultural industry structure convergence. It showed that the natural environment, geography, cultural traditions and agricultural science and technology were sufficient conditions for agricultural industry structure convergence. And, government policies, farmers and other decision-making influenced by maket-driven were necessary conditions.Finally, through the analysis of the influence of agricultural industry structure convergence in Xishuangbanna, we found agricultural industry structure convergence not only had a negative influence on regional economic development, ecological environment and cultural traditions, but also played a positive impact on regional economic development. We should take advantage of the positive impact of agricultural industry structure convergence, and targeted to deal with its negative effects.
