With development of automotive technology,In order to adapt to the increasingly fierce market competition,The acceleration of car manufacturers to launch new products,Demand is escalating,Product update rhythm becomes more and more quick. Auto parts suppliers product development level and speed of higher requirements are put forward. The traditional experience of product development process because of its shortcomings, long cycle, high cost has far cannot meet customer required schedule. In such a situation,With comprehensive and advanced characteristics, Project management has been widely used in the automobile and parts industry. Based on project management platform of product development to make the cooperation between different organizations more smoothly and communicate more quickly. Project schedule management because of the direct relationship between the enterprise market competitiveness and rapid response ability become the focus of the project management activities. This paper, taking a new seat of X company development project as the background, combined with the characteristics of auto parts enterprises in China, with the existing project management and schedule management theory as the instruction, adopts the method of combining theoretical research and empirical research, the application of the basic principle of schedule management, schedule management of X company new seat development research.This paper has carried on the detailed explanation of the selected topic background, fully discusses the practical significance of this study, the research status at home and abroad was reviewed, and the research methods of this article and the path are introduced. This paper expounds the basic knowledge of project management and schedule management theory and related theories such as system of schedule management theory, optimization theory, lay a theoretical basis for the back of the case study. Combination of X company project management system and the NTS product development project case, the application of relevant principle of the project schedule management and methods to the project from the activity definition and sorting, time limit for a project estimation, scheduling, schedule control, etc, this paper analyzes the four main points, scientific analysis, project plan optimization schedule, develop more scientific progress management plan. Evaluate the effect of NTS project schedule management, summarizes the experience in NTS project progress management of X company and disadvantages, and proposes the corresponding improvement Suggestions. Project management on the basis of the status quo in the X company, points out that the promotion of enterprise management. The project schedule management for the auto parts industry product development to contribute.
