Influence Of Japanese Green Trade Barriers On The Export Of Agricultural Products

After the reform and opening up, with the rapid development of Chinese economy and the continuous development of the trade between China and Japan,they have become an important trading partner.China and Japan can take advantage from each other from convenient transportation,consumer demand and other similar natural advantages. In 2001 China surpassed the US as Japan’s largest importer of agricultural products. In recent years,with the changes in world trade trends and the world situation, the free development of trade has been blocked seriously in different ways,especially the green trade barriers. Agriculture trade suffers the most.As the world ’s largest developing country, since 2001 our foreign trade has undergone enormous changes after joining the WTO.Also with development of the economic globalization, China’s dependence on foreign trade has been increasing. As a large agricultural country, agricultural trade plays an very important role in the agricultural development as well as in the issue of " three rural".the agricultural trade between China and Japan is a top priority of all our agricultural trade. China’s agricultural trade has always been in advantage,but in recent years,with the development of environmental awareness in public and inspection technology, China’s exports of agricultural products to Japan is continuing expericing green trade barriers from Japan.As a developed country, Japan has a lot of advantages in terms of science and technology advantage.what is more, Japan is very active in using favorable conditions to use new trade barriers to achieve the purpose of protection of its own trade.the implementation of green trade barriers limit the export of agricultural products of our country,but it can protect the development of agricultural industry in Japan.the result is that the growth rate of the agricultural trade between China and Japan is far lower than the gross quantity growth, or even decline. from the long-term view, this is bad to the development of the agricultural trade cooperation between the two countries.therefore under the new situation,China should pay attention to the Green Trade barriers.we should also make a good research of its the characteristics, content, form and trends to put its influence to our agricultural trade to the minimum,at the same time we should establish the standard of inspection and technology.
