IN the modern project management, to seek maximum benefits, the requirement of investment on schedule more and more stringent. The schedule management plays operation of other chemical device directly. Therefore, it is built ahead of other chemical plant, and impact on the whole large chemical project duration directly. Obviously, Chemical air separation project schedule management is particularly important.In this paper, based onschedule management and control principle, the author combine thespecific case and characteristic of design in the piping design project in ZT Air Separation Unit, work breakdown and man-hour estimated have done in this project. Gantt chart has been used in the formation of schedule plan, critical path has been found by method of Activity-on-Node, and schedule plan has been optimized. Earned value curve and principle have been used to monitor the discipline schedule. Preparing and analyzing the scheduleplan and actual schedule to found the factors of influencing scheduling. Putting the schedule control method into effect timely,Schedule of project has been controlled effectively. The use for reference is supplied for the air separation unit in future.
