In recent years,project management is vigorously implemented in new projects in iron and steel companies of China.This is very important to the improvement of project quality,assurance of time limit for projects and cost saving,etc.The project scheduling and control are the two most important parts of project management.They influence not only the success of the project,but also the economic performance and development prospect.The second phase reform construction project of the new automatic label system in Company A is what is discussed in this paper.Because of the limits of the time progress and the field environment,it is necessary to do the project management,strengthening the progress plan and control research,to improve the engineering quality,guarantee the time limit and save cost.Therefore,the author systematically studies the project.Firstly,this paper summarizes the project schedule and control theory of project management,and focuses on the project schedule theory,the project schedule control theory,the project schedule examination and adjustment.Secondly,a brief overview is made on the general situation of Company A to be the base of the paper,involving the organization,business scope,human resources,production status.Project schedule management requires the project team to make the project schedule according to the project aim and often check the actual situation during the implementation process.The team should analyze the reasons for the deviation of the schedule and adjust the schedule accordingly to the end of the project.Therefore,in the next part,this paper briefly introduces series reform aimed at preventing the outflow of products which have quality problems due to poor management in Company A.Based on the knowledge of project management,the paper expounds in detail how to apply the schedule and control theory in project management practice.Through compressing time of critical path,adjusting the operation relationship and optimizing the layout of the project,the project schedule plan is effectively optimized,the project schedule and control issues are solved.The paper provides guidance for the smooth implementation of the project and reference for similar project management in future.
