Since joining in the World Trade Organization in 2006, The foreign trade in China has acquired the remarkable achievement. The growing trade has also brought negative effect on the environment, such as air pollution, water pollution, noise pollution and so on. In 2006, China became the largest carbon dioxide emitter in the world, surpassing the United States on the carbon emission. Therefore, the pressure of reducing carbon dioxide has becoming more and more big. In recent year, most of cities in our countries emerged the hazy weather, the domestic voice of reducing carbon emissions is becoming more and more high and the air pollution also become the most urgent environmental problem. The global financial crisis in 2008 had a deep influence on China’s foreign trade. At the same time, the international market demand reducing and the carbon tariffs of developed countries declined China’s foreign trade increasing rate. Under the dual background, balancing the relationship between trade development and environmental protection, looking for the new growth point for the trade is becoming the main mission in our countries. On the beginning of this paper, we put forward the research value on the basis of analysis of the existing theory and literature for home and abroad. Secondly, we analyze the impact of trade on environment by adapting the general equilibrium model and input-output model, laying a good theoretical basis for the empirical part. Thirdly, we calculate the carbon emission coefficients for 23 production sections of China visible trade by using the improved input-output model. Then combine with the import and export dates of each section obtain the carbon emission yielded by trade, and analysis the carbon emission results. On the end of this paper, we put forward the corresponding policy recommends for balancing the trade and carbon emission reduction according the conclusion. The results have shown that:(1) the visible trade have a negative effect on carbon emission in our country. Through the visible trade our country bear approximately 547 million carbon emission instead of the foreign consumers. (2) For 23 production department, there are only 5 departments which direct carbon emission coefficient bigger than indirect carbon emission coefficient, and most of department carbon emission reduction are from the intermediate inputs. (3) The most of importing carbon reduction came from the production which are used to meet the final demand, and the percentage of total importing carbon is 78.2%.
