The contradiction between economic development and industrial pollution has always restricted the coordinated economic and environmental development since the Industrial Revolution.With the appearance of smog and hazy weather and global warming,a series of environmental problems have caused people's thinking on the two major issues of economic development and environmental protection.Therefore,it is of more significance to study the impact of technological progress on industrial pollution in our country under the background of increasingly emphasizing the transformation of economic development mode,upgrading of industrial structure,building of an innovative country and building of "ecological civilization." Therefore,Efforts to reduce emissions and how to correctly handle the relationship between independent research and technology import and also has a strong practical significance.In this study,five kinds of industrial pollutants were selected as the research object.The data of 29 provinces(excluding Tibet and Qinghai)in mainland China from 2005 to 2015 were selected.First,the perpetual inventory method was used to estimate the amount of independent innovation stock and technology introduction The stock of these two indicators of technological progress and its visual analysis to understand the spatial distribution of technological advances in China;Second,the calculation of five industrial pollutant emission intensity and analysis of China's industrial pollutants spatial distribution and pattern evolution;Finally,at the Based on the comprehensive index of industrial pollution constructed by entropy method,the spatial correlation was tested and the spatial effect of technological progress on industrial pollution was analyzed from the aspects of east,middle and west regions.The conclusions of the study mainly include:(1)There are significant regional differences in the self-innovation stocks and technology import stocks that characterizeChina's technological progress,and the spatial distribution is uneven.For example,the provinces with higher technical level have less share and are mainly concentrated in Eastern region,while the central and western regions have lower technical level and a larger proportion.(2)The spatial distribution of the emissions of the five industrial pollutants still exists the problem of uneven distribution and large spatial disparities among the regions,and the industrial pollution shows some spatial agglomeration,and the industrial pollution in the agglomeration area shows "lower in the east,Western higher,central buffer " feature.(3)From the results of spatial regression at the national level,both independent innovation and technology introduction have significantly inhibited the emission of industrial pollutants,and the absorptive capacity developed by independent research has highlighted the emission reduction effect of industrial pollution.(4)According to the spatial regression results of the three major regions of East,Central and Western China,independent innovation and technology introduction in the eastern region have significantly inhibited the emission of industrial pollutants,and the effect of independent innovation is even greater.For the central region The absorption capacity of technology import and independent research and development has played a positive role in the reduction of industrial pollution.The inhibition of industrial pollution by independent innovation has not been obvious.For the western region,only the introduction of technology has a significant impact on industrial pollution reduction Inhibition,self-innovation and self-developed absorptive capacity for industrial pollution reduction did not highlight the effect.In order to realize the mutual benefit and win-win situation of economy and environment,this paper puts forward the following countermeasures according to the research conclusion,the first step is to increase the freedom of the region to choose the path of technological advancement,give full play to the advantages of regional technological reduction,and second,strengthen the technical exchanges between regions and break the regional boundaries.The third is to increase the government's support for technological progress and give full play to the environmental improvement effect of technological progress.Fourth,it shouldcontinue to inject vitality into economic development and change the mode of economic development.This will improve the problem of industrial pollution.
