In the process of the word's booming economic development, environment and resource problem is more and more prominent, taking the strategy of sustainable development has been an irresistible trend. Construction industry is a pillar industry in the economic development in our country, but in the long-term development process, energy consumption that brought by, it plays an important role in the total energy consumption. The Twelfth Five-year Plan of our country set the goal that building a resource-saving and environment-friendly society. So the construction industry's green development has been very important. As a new way of construction, Low-carbon building is totally correspond to this goal. But because Low-carbon building started late in china, together with the higher investment relative to traditional architecture in prior period, there are many misunderstanding on Low-carbon building in the society. The paper aims at this problem, based on the life cycle theory, analysis the incremental cost and incremental benefit of and put forward incremental cost and benefit model over the life-cycle of Low-carbon building. We want to proving the superiority of Low-carbon building over traditional architecture and provide powerful support for Low-carbon building's promotion. The paper is divided into six parts. The first part introduces the research background and research status at home and abroad, then points out deficiencies of this research and indicates the paper's research objectives and significance, then indicates the research contents and method. The second part introduces the details of the life cycle theory and it's development process. The third part analyses the cost and benefit of Low-carbon building, then sets forth correlation theory and puts forward the evaluation methods and index. The fourth part analyses the incremental cost and incremental benefit of Low-carbon building, indicates the details of them and relevant quantitative calculation methods. Based on this analysis, this part establishes a incremental cost and benefit model over the life-cycle of Low-carbon building, then introduces every index and their quantitative method. Chapter five selects a certain Low-carbon building example, analyses the incremental cost and incremental benefit of this project and verifies the feasibility of the model. The last part provides the conclusions and expectation of this paper, summarizing the paper's main working achievement and shortcomings. The paper make cost-benefit analysis and evaluation, fully taking into account the characteristics of low-carbon buildings, both in quantitative analysis and the final case study, regarded carbon emissions among other factors to consider, which is China's building the development of the industry, building a low-carbon society has a more important theoretical significance and reference value.
