Hydraulic cylinder is an hydraulic actuators that converts hydraulic energy into mechanical energy and do a straight line reciprocating movement or swinging movement. It has simple structure and reliable operation. The speed reducer can be avoided, and there is no transmission clearance, the smooth movement, When using it to realize reciprocating motion, thus it is widely used in all kinds of mechanical hydraulic system. But with the continuous development of science and technology, The higher performance requirements for hydraulic cylinder which applied on some industrial equipment and engineering vehicles re put forward. In order to create the hydraulic cylinder with higher performance, so we need a set of hydraulic cylinder test-bed is suited for them. Hydraulic cylinder test-bed is toward the direction of the high precision, high intelligence, high automation development.First of all, this paper introduces the development overview of the hydraulic cylinder test-bed, the test contents and the design requirements for test-bed. Then the paper explains the overall design scheme of the hydraulic cylinder test-bed, gives the design of the hydraulic system schematic diagram, and select the main components of test bed though calculation. I build 3d modeling of hydraulic cylinder test-bed using Solidworks software. The rationality of the design of test bed structure is verified by virtual design. I use this software to design the structure of the hydraulic valve block and channel, then apply the simulation module of finite element analysis was carried out on the valve block valve block to verify the rationality of the design of structure and channel. This paper introduces the test of electric control system and type selection for a part of the electrical components. The switching values in this test-bed are controlled with the Mitsubishi PLC, the analog signal acquisition and output are controlled through the PCI (data acquisition card) of NI company. Finally, it comes true that the whole process of the computer control of the test-bed through the industrial computer and LabVIEW design program.In this paper, I use the virtual prototype technology on hydraulic cylinder test-bed structure rationalization design, the hydraulic cylinder test-bed is highly intelligent and automatic through the combined application about the industrial computer, virtual instrument, PLC and the electromagnetic valve. This paper has a certain guidance and reference significance for the high performance and high intelligence, automatic hydraulic cylinder test-bed design.
