The rapid development of urban power grid is an important foundation of Economic development and social progress. In order to ensure the stability and security of power supply, it is particularly important to do a good job in power grid planning. Reasonable power grid planning is important to save power grid investment, ensure the safety of power grid and improve the reliability of power supply. In order to meet the demands of power load increase in Kangbashen Industrial Park and ensure reliable power supply, it is necessary and urgent to carry through researches on distribution network planning of Kangbashen Industrial Park.In this paper, Kangbashen Industrial Park is chosen as an example of the distribution network planning and design. Firstly, the background and significance of the subject is described, and the status of domestic and foreign research in power grid planning and load forecasting is also listed. Secondly, the paper introduces the current situation of power supply in Kangbashen Industrial Park, analyzes the development trend of saturated load in recent years completely and analyzes the potential factors affecting the operation reliability of distribution network. There is not relevant historical electricity load data in new planning park, related to the reality, cell saturation density method is adopted to forecast the saturation load.According to the growth characteristics of the electric load of the industrial park, the development level of the annual electricity load is decomposed. Thirdly, based on the technical principles of distribution network planning, combined with the overall economic development planning and social development goals of Kangbashen Industrial Park, a power grid planning scheme suitable for the Park is put forward and a set of practical and feasible annual transition plan is also developed. On this basis, it makes the investment estimate. Finally, the results of load forecasting and the situation of power grid planning are summarized.The results of power grid planning can be used to guide the construction of power grid to meet the power demand of economic and social development of Kangbashen Industrial Park.
