With the continuous expansion of city size, urban transport problems deteriorated sharply. China's major cities are actively construct a rail-based public transport system, urban rail transit transformation has been starting guide urban land use and spatial pattern, Coordination of rail transportation and land use has play a positive role in both alleviating pressure on urban traffic and suppressing urban sprawl. Taking Wuhan Metro Line 2 as the research object, conducting in-depth research of the land-use along the 21 subway stations regions from the perspective of empirical research. Using interdisciplinary approaches to explore general pattern of land-use optimization of rail transit station areas. In order to providing advice for development and control of Wuhan rail transit station area.Firstly, the paper studies on the relationship between rail transit and urban land use. Some problems have been summarized of existing research, such as the presence of fuzzy rail classification system, the lack of quantitative research on the land-use optimization; existing research system is not complete, etc. On this basis, by analyzing and evaluating the status of land use of Metro Line 2 site area, the paper establishes "three dimensions" systematic land-use optimization system, including land layout, land development intensity, the traffic environment of the transit station area. The specific optimization include: from the city function, transportation and land-use characteristics, adopting SPSS cluster analysis to classify the stations of line 2, the general pattern proposed resident-type, public-type, commerce-type and transportation-type. Then providing he land layout optimization for different types of sites; based on the track multi-station type division and station area land layout optimization results, establishing multi-objective decision-making model and using Matlab and Lingo to calculate land-use intensity. Then the paper summarizes general law of land development intensity of multi-type station areas. Finally, on the basis of analyzing coupling between typical local residents travel characteristics and the traffic environment of Metro line 2, summarizing environmental issue and providing the overall strategies and patterns of traffic environment basing on the optimization of land layout and intensity control in the multi-type station areas.Studies suggest that, from the three dimensions of land layout, land development intensity and traffic environment to build the general standard optimization mode for the multi-type station areas can be more precisely coordinate the relationship between rail transit and urban land development, and enhancing urban land-use efficiency.
