Beginning in 2009, we have done a lot of experimental work about digital substation.With the domestic intelligent substation are promotion and experimental unit successfully, it change the present structure of substation which is closed, making it becoming a system which is open and standard. IEC61850 protocol system standard to be the only international standard to substation automation system, it changes the current structure for substation automation system closed, making it openness and standards of the system. From 2009 to 2011, digital substation pilot and test the promotion of IEC61850 standard will gradually show that IEC61850 standard power system will become the seamlessly communicate. Expected within the next three years, IEC61850 will be fully applied to 220 k V voltage substation, in the application of 110 k V and below voltage substation is expected to reach 50% after three years, full applicated after five years.Xinjiang 188 35 KV substation construction in accordance with intelligent substation, the first and second equipment should meet the requirements of digital substation. Unconventional transformer substation instead conventional protection devices and monitoring control devices such as I/O section, network communication system based on Switched Ethernet and fiber composition of alternative conventional secondary connection cables and circuit.
